Istrouma Sports Organization is a gospel-centered ministry of Istrouma Baptist Church that intentionally creates opportunities to glorify God and make disciples through sports and recreation.

Istrouma Sports Organization was formed in 2009. We started with 137 kids across basketball, soccer, and cheer. over time, we added more opportunities for kids to participate in sports and recreation as our leagues became more popular.

Stats for youth leagues in the 2018/2019 school year:
1,048 total players were registered in our leagues
843 different players stepped on our campus to play sports
397 players were new to ISO
123 players came from Istrouma Baptist Church
238 players had no church home

Stats for all youth programs since 2009:
8,395 total participants have registered in our programs
7,483 total participants have registered in our sports leagues
3,258 different participants stepped on our campus for at least one of our programs

ISO provides developmental sports leagues for kids 3 years old through 9th grade (varies by sport). Team sports include basketball in the winter, baseball & softball in the spring, and flag football & volleyball in the fall. Kids can also participate in Fall Baseball Club and a week-long summer camp.
ISO also provides opportunities for adult recreation. Adults have the option to participate in fitness classes, pickleball, and pick-up basketball.
ISO provides multiple clinics throughout the Baton Rouge area each year and hosts an annual mission trip to Brooklyn, New York.
