Istrouma Sports is dependent on volunteer coaches. The number of teams in each division is determined by the number of coaches signed up to volunteer.
We equip our coaches so they feel prepared and comfortable in this environment. Please don’t hesitate to coach if you have never done so before or have little experience with the sport.
Our volunteers will go through a vetting process and will be expected to meet the coaches’ requirements throughout the season.
Indicate on your child’s registration and submit an application below if you are interested in volunteering as a head, assistant, or bench coach this season. Sign up as a head coach on early registration to save some money!
New and returning volunteers should complete an application each season.

• Spring Basketball is for boys 4-5 & 15-17 years old and girls 5-6 years old.
• Summer Basketball is for boys 6-14 years old and girls 7-13 years old.
• Divisions are based on age by the first practice.
• Registration fee covers uniforms which includes jerseys and shorts.
• All age divisions have a limited capacity.
• View the timeline for all event dates (subject to change).
• Our youth sports leagues provide kids with equal playing time and the chance to play every position at a younger age.
• Our leagues are welcoming to players of all skill levels. Inexperienced players will be comfortable and have plenty of opportunities to learn in a recreational environment. Experienced players will be challenged and continue to grow.
• Teams are intended to be created as fair and competitive as possible, once evaluations are completed.
• Teams will have a community gathering after each game, which includes an awards ceremony and a devotion.
• Players will learn a bible verse throughout the season.
• Parents can list a practice conflict and friend requests. If we cannot fulfill both requests, we will prioritize the practice conflict.
• Players can request to play with one friend if a practice conflict is listed or two friends if not. Friends must list mutual requests and register in the same division.
• Waitlisted players will be unable to request friends as teammates.
• Players may have their requests voided if they miss The Combine.
• We try our best to place siblings on the same practice night. Due to limited courts, boys might not practice on the same practice night as their sisters.

• Spring season only
• 4-5 years old on March 2, 2026
• $100: January 21-27
• $130: January 28 – February 9
• $140: Waitlisted (no registration requests)
• Season includes 7 practices and 6 games.
• Teams will practice and play games on Monday at 5:30 or 6:35 pm. Starting times will alternate throughout the season.
• 25.5″ ball & 7′ goal
6U GIRLS
• Spring season only
• 5-6 years old on March 2, 2026
• $100: January 21-27
• $130: January 28 – February 9
• $140: Waitlisted (no registration requests)
• Season includes 7 practices and 6 games.
• Teams will practice and play games on Monday at 5:30 or 6:35 pm. Starting times will alternate throughout the season.
• 25.5″ ball & 7′ goal
• All girls at this age will be placed on the same team. All players will practice together and will split up before games to compete against each other.
7U BOYS

• 6-7 years old on June 6, 2026
• $120: April 8-14
• $150: April 15-21
• $160: Waitlisted (no registration requests)
• Season includes 9 practices and 7 games.
• Teams will practice once a week on Tuesday or Thursday.
• Practices could start at 5:30 or 6:40 pm. Practice Schedule will be released after teams are assigned.
• Saturday game times will vary each week and could start between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. Game Schedule will be released after the first practice.
• 25.5″ ball & 8′ goal
8U GIRLS
• Summer season only
• 7-8 years old on June 6, 2026

• Structured pick-up basketball games
• Players will practice together and then split up into different teams for playing games.
